Lake of the Ozarks

Have you visited the Lake of the Ozarks? The people there truly are a different breed. Must be the water.

Regardless, we had a great time with Grandpa. As I say every time we get back from a visit, I wish he were closer :( I would love for Nora to know him the way I know him. He is my favorite person in the whole world (well, might be a close second to N now-a-days) and I treasure every minute I have with him.

We did a little sightseeing while we were there too.

Guy would just put his net in the water and come back up with a bunch of fish.


They were literally jumping out of the water.


And the cranes were very aware of the best spot to get an easy meal.

It was fun, but I think we were all tired of the car by the time we got home. Lot of driving!



But Bear helped.



And just when we thought our journey was over, we got to see Grandpa again at a wedding the very next weekend. Nora darted across the parking lot yelling "Papa! Papa!" and my heart melted.
